Tapenade
There nearly wasn’t a kitchen.
A huge olive tree on the balcony above nearly fell through the ceiling, making tapenade of the owners.
Constant watering and weight had rotted the joists. Spaces to the rescue.
Stiff drink
After the shock the owners needed a stiff drink, so Spaces added a wine cellar.
Spaces remedy: Tree removed from the balcony; the joists, brick work and render were replaced, the room was repainted and Bordeaux consumed.
Art attack
A leaking awning and guttering damaged an artist's studio.
Spaces located and fixed the leaks and strengthened the balcony.
Wobbly legs
We noticed that the balcony's metal supports were rotted and the extension could collapse at any time.
New supports were installed and the artist lived to paint another day.
Our client wanted an extra foldable shelf installed, so we did that too and everyone was happy.
Tanked
Area tanked to stop water ingress into basement cellars; the side entrance was re-built; huge flues added for new heating system.
Hot water
Once the repair work was all done the client had a fantastic storage space and we could install this amazing Buderus boiler and ACV cylinders.
Scandi-noir
Dark, morally complex lighting added, including tantalising Moon-lighting for nocturnal entertainment.
